Are you interested in embarking on a great adventure “ fostering a Jack Russell Terrier for Russell Rescue, Inc (RRI)?

Would you be willing to volunteer your time, to give your love to provide for the care of a rescue dog?

As a foster, you would provide a safe environment, food, shelter and basic care for a Jack Russell Terrier waiting to find his/her forever home. Hopefully you would also be able to provide some basic training (housebreaking, crate training, manners) while you are at it, in order to make your foster dog more attractive to potential adopters. RRI will reimburse you for food and basic health expenses. And best yet, you would be saving a dogs life!

We require a minimum of three (3) week commitment although the rescue could be adopted in a shorter time or take longer to find the perfect forever home. There are dogs currently in immediate need of a short term foster home!

If you are interested in fostering, please complete an online Foster Home Application at www.russellrescue.com or contact Kathy Sube at www.russellrescuesoca@gmail.com for further information.

Website

Sam I am is a beautiful, 3 yr old, neutered, apple head Chihuahua. He is playful and loves to sit on your shoulder. He does get stressed out in a crowd of people. Sam would do best in a home by himself, even though he does get along with other dogs. Sam is about 6-7 lbs and is beautiful in color. He rarely barks, is housebroken, is great on a leash, and he will just make you laugh.  Adoption fee covers all his shots, micro chip and Neuter.

San Diego Bulldog Rescue

P.O. Box 19092
92159 San Diego
Website

San Diego Bulldog Rescue (SDBR), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization,  is comprised of a committed group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing unwanted, neglected, abandoned, and relinquished Bulldogs in the greater San Diego region.

Our goal is to find permanent loving homes for Bulldogs in need. All SDBR Bulldogs are provided medical care and assessed for behavioral issues prior to being place in an approved home. All dogs are also spayed/neutered (if necessary) and micro-chipped for identification. We do not place dogs on a first come, first served basis, however we work to match each Bulldog to a home that best meets their needs.

SDBR not only rescues and re-homes Bulldogs but when possible, we counsel owners having difficulties with their Bulldogs and assist them to eliminate their need for our services. Our team of volunteers gives their time generously and rescues 50 to 60 Bulldogs a year.

SDBR is not only looking for loving adoptive homes, but we are also in desperate need of foster homes.  We have assisted over 60 bulldogs so far this year and more are scheduled to come in to our program.

As a foster home, you will need to provide your foster dog with food, water, shelter, love and medications as prescribed. We cover all medical expenses at our approved bulldog vet.
If you have room in your heart and in your home to either adopt or foster a bulldog, please fill out an application at www.rescuebulldogs.org. You will also find a link to this site on our website at www.sdbr.org. If you are interested in fostering only, please indicate this in the comments section on the application.
Thank you!

** Fostering is such a Gift **

Fostering a Chihuahua will change your life! I adopted my little love, Max, from the Chihuahua Rescue of San Diego. And now, 2 years later, I’m involved with the rescue efforts myself. Being a foster mom is THE best thing that I’ve ever done! Chihuahuas are such sweet, special, loyal, lovable dogs.....just full of charm & personality. They are also one of the most highly over bred of dog breeds. They need our help!

Did you know…..70,000 puppies and kittens are born every day in the U.S. * Between four million and six million pets are euthanized every year because they are homeless * That means between 11,000 and 16,000 pets are euthanized every day simply because they are homeless * An animal in a shelter is killed every 1.5 seconds * Save Lives - Please Spay & Neuter your little ones.

The rescue is at capacity. We really need more families to join our foster network. You can definitely make a difference. Fostering is the most rewarding, enriching, fulfilling experience that I have ever been a part of. Giving a sweet, perfectly well behaved dog a second chance at having a wonderful life is such a gift. And so many lives are affected ~ the foster family, the rescued dog, the new forever family.......it’s all around goodness!

Tip of the Week

Put your new puppy on leash and encourage him to come with you around the house as you do chores. This will teach him that he should follow you instead of you following after him.
